You retain ownership of all photos, text, and other content you upload to Placepals ("User Content"). However, by uploading User Content, you grant Placepals a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, and worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, translate, and create derivative works of your User Content.
This license is necessary to provide our Service, including displaying your content to collaborators on shared maps, creating backups, and improving our Service. The license ends when you delete your User Content or your account, except where content has been shared with others and they have not deleted it.

BREACH LIMITATION: Placepals is not responsible for unauthorized access to your content by third parties due to security breaches, hacking, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. By using our Service, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
